In the spring of 2009 we flew half way around the world to adopt a little girl in the city of Petropavlovsk in northern Kazakhstan. This blog chronicles our experiences in bringing her home. We wrote it both to keep those at home up to date on our progress and also to provide help and perspective to those who might follow behind us on the same adventure. Hopefully it accomplishes both goals.

Good coffee….in Petro!
Posted on April 8th, 2009 1 commentSo I guess I need to take back a bit of what I said about the coffee in this town. On a recommendation we walked down to a coffee shop on Constitution Ave this morning and it was actually pretty good! I had a caramel cappuccino which I would definitely recommend. The chocolate cake was good as well.
The wait staff don’t speak English so there was a lot of pointing to the menu and grunting but we figured it out.
It is on the same block as the Italian restaurant.
